We meet everyone at the Balboa Inn in Panama City, where we'll stay our first night. We then transfer to the San Blas region where we'll stay 2 nights at Burbayer Lodge. Then we return to Panama City and the Balboa Inn for the next 2 nights. Next we transfer to the Caribbean side of the Canal Zone for 2 nights at the Nattur Ecolodge for 2 nights before returning to the Balboa Inn for our last night of the tour.
ALBROOK INN
The 
Albrook Inn is located on a 311 acre tract of gardens and trees in a residential area a few minutes from the domestic airport. The area was formerly a US military base, and the accommodations are in a refurbished officer's guest house. The inn's location provides easy access to Pipeline Road, Gamboa, and other areas we visit on the tour. It features a swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant with national and international cuisine on the menu, bar, and laundry services. The 30 rooms are air conditioned and feature queen or twin beds, cable TV, and private bath with hot water. TOP
BURBAYAR LODGE
Burbayar Lodge is located near the Nusagandi Forest Reserve adjacent to Darien Province about 2 hours drive east of Panama City. The accommodations are environmentally sensitive and rather rustic. Electricity is provided by generators and solar lamps. The food is excellent and served in the main dining room on one of the terraces. Because the lodge is at the summit of the foothills, the climate is cool and the area is largely bug-free. Each room has two twin beds and private bath fully equipped with unheated running water. The lodge is not suitable for those expecting all the amenities, but it's located in a simply superb birding area where many species cannot be seen elsewhere without travelling into more remote areas of the Darien. NATTUR ECOLODGE
Nattur Ecolodge is located near Sabanitas about 20 minutes drive from the city of Colon. The lodge is environmetally sensitive, is located in a natural area with trees and gardens, and maintains feeders that lure several species of hummingbirds. The lodge is owned and operated by an expert birder and caters to birdwatching and nature tour groups. The lodge consists of a dining room and three chalet-style buildings, each divided into four private rooms with private bath. Each chalet also has a common area where guests can relax as well as a small outdoor lounge. TOP
