SUN KARROS LODGE

Sun Karros Lodge is an upscale eco-lodge located in Daan Viljoen National Park outside Windhoek. The lodge is situated adjacent to a riverbed that is dry except in years of significant rains. The restaurant serves international cuisine a la carte. Beef and game are a staple but chicken, fish, and vegetarian are all available. Rooms are in chalets and are very spacious and elegant. Each chalet has a main bedroom with queen bed, bathroom with hot water shower, and private patio overlooking the riverbed. Rooms feature air-conditioning, ceiling fan, a small safe, 220v outlets, satellite TV, free wi-fi access, a writer's table, tea and coffee station, and a small refrigerator.

NAMIBGRENS GUEST FARM

Namibgrens Guest Farm is a comfortable guesthouse located near Spreetshoogte Pass on the edge of the central plateau west of Windhoek. It's a typical old style Namibian guest house that features a swimming pool, a small restaurant, and 11 en-suite rooms. The restaurant serves home-cooked meals that feature beef and game but can cater to vegetarian visitors. The guest house is on a working farm so fresh produce is available for guests despite its somewhat remote location away from any nearby towns or stores. Rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable with double beds. private bath, and hot-water showers.

LAGOON LOGE (LODGE)

Lagoon Loge (Lodge) is an elegantly furnished B&B located in Walvis Bay along the main coastal road around the lagoon. During much of the year many birds, especially flamingos are present across the road in the lagoon when the tide is out. The B&B features ample breakfasts including made-to-order eggs in the small restaurant. Other meals are available in nearby restaurants along the waterfront. Lounge chairs around the swimming pool in the back gardens offer a nice retreat where one can relax. The eight rooms are spacious and nicely appointed with comfortable beds (typically two twin beds pushed together), security safe for valuables, cable TV, private bath, and hot water showers. Free wi-fi is available in the rooms.

ERONGO WILDERNESS LODGE

Erongo Wilderness Lodge is a comfortable eco-lodge located located in the Erongo Mountain wilderness of west central Namibia. The lodge features restaurant, lounge, bar, swimming pool, and sundowner deck. Rooms are luxury tented chalets connected to the restaurant by wooden walkways and natural stone steps. The restaurant features sumptuous breakfasts, freshly cooked breads, beef, game, chicken, and vegetarian cuisine. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds (two twin beds pushed together), wooden deck overlooking scenic views of the mountains, private bath, and hot water showers.

OKAUKUEJO RESORT

Okaukuejo Resort is a luxury safari lodge in the southwestern section of Etosha National Park. The lodge is operated by the Namibian government as part of Namibia Wildlife Resorts. The lodge is famous for the lighted waterhole in the back, which in dry season and years of low rainfall attract numerous game animals. The restaurant serves superb buffet style meals. The lodge also features a bar, souvenir shop, swimming pool, and game viewing area near the waterhole. Accommodations are in spacious, upscale chalets that feature double beds pushed together, air conditioning, sitting area, and large bath with hot water showers.

HALALI RESORT

Halali Resort is a luxury safari lodge in the more lush central section of Etosha National Park. The lodge is operated by the Namibian government as part of Namibia Wildlife Resorts. The restaurant serves superb buffet style meals. The lodge also features a bar, souvenir shop, swimming pool, and game viewing area near a waterhole in the back. Accommodations are in spacious, upscale chalets that feature double beds pushed together, air conditioning, sitting area, and large bath with hot water showers.

MOKUTI ETOSHA LODGE

Mokuti Etosha Lodge is an upscale safari lodge located 4-min drive from the southeastern entrance to Etosha National Park. The extensive grounds include lawns, shrubbery, and trees that attract numerous birds. The main reception area and restaurant are in large thatched buildings. Meals are served buffet-style in an indoor dining room and outdoor terrace overlooking a water hole. A la carte meals are available in a sister lodge across the road. Rooms are in private chalets scattered throughout the property. Rooms feature two twin beds pushed together, air conditioning, room safes, and private bath with hot shower.

WATERBERG RESORT

Waterberg Resort is situated at the base of the Waterberg Plateau in Waterberg National Park. The lodge in the national park is operated by the Namibian government as part of Namibia Wildlife Resorts. Trails around the lodge offer some very good birding and are the main reason for a stay there. Meals are served in the resort restaurant and are acceptable. Rooms are in private chalets. They are comfortable and clean with two twin beds pushed together, private bath, and hot water showers.
